The son of a Michigan State football legend has been offered a scholarship.

While Sedrick Irvin has already had a son make it to the FBS level, it looks like he has another who is ready to become a college football star.

Sedrick Irvin Jr. was a four-star a couple of years ago and committed to Stanford where he's played the role of backup for the past two seasons. He has just 182 rushing yards and a touchdown on just over 4.0 yards per carry in his young career, but he will hope to battle for starting snaps in 2025.

Irvin's other son, Amarri Irvin, is a top-100 recruit in the 2027 class who is playing his prep ball at the famous IMG Academy down in Bradenton, Fla. He is being courted by plenty of major programs, but his most recent offer is a big one. Michigan State just came calling.

Amarri is a four-star linebacker in the 2027 class and as you can see, he used another former four-star linebacker from IMG Academy in his offer tweet. Jordan Hall, too, played his high school ball at IMG Academy and was a rare multi-year captain there. There's a good chance he's looked up to by a lot of kids who are still there, including Amarri.

Irvin, the No. 66 overall recruit in the class, could follow his dad's footsteps and become a legend in East Lansing. Sedrick Irvin made a name for himself by rushing for 3,414 yards and 35 touchdowns in three seasons for Michigan State before heading off to the NFL.

Let's hope Amarri wants to have a similar legacy at Michigan State.
