Michigan State football likely to flip West Virginia DB commit with huge offer sheet
Wake up, Michigan State football fans, it's flip season.
Just a day after getting a flip from Western Michigan running back commit Zion Gist, Jonathan Smith and Co. are being tabbed as the favorites to land another school's pledge.
On Tuesday, three-star athlete commit Terrance Edwards posted on X that something is happening on Nov. 27 at 3 p.m. ET and the speculation immediately became a flip announcement.
With signing day approaching, this announcement would make sense, especially since he just came off a visit to East Lansing this past weekend. He checked out the Spartans as they beat Purdue on Friday night and it seems that he liked what he saw because he's been predicted to flip to Michigan State by a number of recruiting experts and insiders on 247Sports.
In fact, Edwards has received five predictions to flip to Michigan State over the past couple of days, making him a prime candidate to become a Spartan by signing day.
Edwards has been committed to West Virginia since June, just two weeks after taking an official visit to Morgantown. But after a shaky season by the Mountaineers and some hope being sold in East Lansing, he might feel like there's a brighter future at Michigan State than there is at West Virginia.
Plus, recruits are having a tough time turning down Demetrice Martin and Blue Adams.
Edwards is listed as the No. 693 overall prospect in the 2025 class by 247Sports and he's projected to play defensive back despite being listed as an athlete. He holds offers from the likes of Clemson, Colorado, Michigan, Tennessee, Florida State, Indiana, Louisville, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and Penn State, among others.
This would be a nice win for Smith.
