We're only a few weeks into the season, and Michigan State football is already going to miss two guys to season-ending injuries.

The Spartans will be without two reserves for the rest of the season, and while that's not quite as impactful as losing starters, Michigan State will also be awaiting the status updates on Nick Marsh, Makhi Frazier, and Alante Brown. Luka Vincic and Conner Moore, too, went down against Youngstown State on Saturday.

Before the game, however, the program announced that two players are going to miss the remainder of the season just 25 percent of the way through it.

Sophomore defensive back Andrew Brinson IV will be out for the remainder of the season along with special teams star and fellow defensive back Caleb Gash.

The injury bug is starting to bite the Spartans hard after a relatively injury-free preseason camp. They will now be without two defensive back reserves and a guy who starred on special teams in the opener against Western Michigan.

Brinson hasn't played all season, but he recorded 59 defensive snaps as a true freshman and showed a lot of promise. The future is bright for the sophomore defensive back.

On Saturday, just hours after these two were announced out for the season, Marsh and Frazier left the game in the second half. Brown was banged up during warm-ups. Moore and Vincic also left the game, as the latter might be a more serious injury, according to Jonathan Smith.

The injuries are starting to pile up at the worst time.
