Michigan State basketball fans have had a lot to look forward to this week.

The Spartans opened the 2025-26 season on Monday with an 11-point win over regular NCAA Tournament mid-major selectee Colgate. Then, Tom Izzo landed four-star shooting guard Jasiah Jervis on Wednesday over Tennessee and NC State. And on Saturday night, the Spartans will face No. 14 Arkansas at the Breslin Center.

It’s been one of the best weeks of the fall so far for Spartan fans, and it may soon get even better, especially if one more key domino falls.

That next domino comes in the form of five-star center Ethan Taylor who currently plays for Link Academy in Missouri along with four-star point guard commit Carlos Medlock Jr. The two could link back up in East Lansing and remain teammates at the collegiate level.

On3 has its own version of the “crystal ball” like 247Sports features, and it presented some good data for Michigan State fans to chew on. Michigan State is a heavy favorite to land Taylor.

According to the On3 prediction, Michigan State holds a 90 percent chance to land the five-star, ranked as their No. 21 overall prospect and fourth-best center. He’s one spot ahead of Michigan State’s most recent commit, as Jervis jumped all the way to No. 22.

The next-closest prediction for Taylor? Kansas comes in with a three percent chance to land him.

I’d be shocked if Taylor went anywhere else, and this prediction just reaffirms by belief that he will be a Spartan in the near future.

A class of Medlock, Jervis, Julius Avent, and Taylor could bring Izzo another national title.
