Michigan State basketball, once again, proves that Michigan is soft

Tre Holloman: not soft.

A heated rivalry is always going to be tough. That's no different in the state of Michigan. Michigan and Michigan State basketball have been at each other's throats forever. That was no different in Sunday's regular season finale.

Sure, the Wolverines blew their chances at playing for anything early in the week, as they lost out on a share of the 2025 Big Ten title.

In a game that very clearly became one-sided in the first-half as the Spartans put up 50 points, Michigan just had to poke the bear. It appears to be in their nature.

Causing problems during a traditional moment for your opponent, especially when they have handled their business against you is just wild to me. In the closing seconds of the second half, MSU's seniors were participating in the yearly tradition of their send-off of kissing the Spartan logo at halfcourt.

Instead of having the tradition continue, it was all but interrupted. For those two Wolverine players to be standing their blocking the logo is just plain stupid. Why must you stoop to that level?

Yeah, I'm talking to you in Ann Arbor. Go ahead and play the victim; that's what you've become known for. I've seen all the muck your so called fanbase has been blasting all over social media, and it only proves how soft you are.

I know one thing: Tre Holloman isn't soft. He did what any smart person would do: he stood up for his senior teammates.

You truly are far from the John Beilein days. At least he had some respect for the rivalry. Not the mockery Michigan has made of it. He would never have stood for that. You claim that you're so high and mighty, but you're the school that seems to get in scuffles in football, hockey, and basketball on a regular basis.

Go ahead and keep doing it, and while you do that, the Spartans will keep on winning just like we have during a majority of Tom Izzo's tenure.

Hanging another banner certainly feels that much sweeter after the nonsense from the Wolverines.

We kicked your butt in basketball, hockey, and I can confidently say Jonathan Smith will get you in football for many years to come.
