Michigan State basketball is no stranger to making top schools lists this month.
The Spartans have been named finalists for a handful of top targets, including Quinn Costello, Ethan Taylor, and Jalyn Collingwood, but they just made another top schools list on Wednesday.
According to Dushawn London of 247Sports, Jasiah Jervis, a top-60 prospect in the 2026 class, has narrowed his list of schools down to eight finalists, and Michigan State made the cut.

The four-star shooting guard from White Plains, N.Y., recently announced that he'd be taking an official visit to Michigan State on Sept. 5 for Grind Week, but no other visits have been planned yet. This release of the top schools could change that as he now knows who he can focus on.
Jervis will be looking at NC State, Pitt, Texas, Illinois, Oregon, Florida, Tennessee, and Michigan State, but a strong visit to East Lansing next month could shut his recruitment down.
The New York-based prospect was also being targeted by the likes of Michigan, Rutgers, St. John's, Stanford, and Villanova. He chose to narrow things down to eight schools, and Michigan State looks like it's in a good position to land him considering he'll be visiting when current point guard commit Carlos Medlock Jr. is on campus.
A backcourt class of Jervis and Medlock Jr. would be one of the best in the country and it would give Tom Izzo a reliable, capable duo for years to come.
Jervis is ranked the No. 60 overall prospect and seventh-best shooting guard in the 2026 class, per 247Sports. He's also New York's fourth-best recruit.
Michigan State has its work cut out here.
