Just last week, Tom Izzo added to his 2025 Michigan State basketball recruiting class with the commitment of four-star small forward Jordan Scott.

And now it looks like he'll soon be adding a second player to his class.

According to Adam Finkelstein of 247Sports, four-star power forward Cam Ward will be announcing his college decision on Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. ET and he's choosing between Michigan State, Kansas State, Virginia, and Maryland.

The Spartans are the presumed favorites.

Ward is a top-50 power forward from Upper Marlboro, Md., who holds 22 offers from the likes of Florida State, Marquette, Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Providence, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Villanova, and West Virginia, among others.

And now he's down to four schools with a decision made and a week until he announces it.

Per his 247Sports crystal ball predictions, Michigan State is the favorite. He just took a visit on Oct. 4 and having this decision timeline sped up feels like good news for the Spartans. A lot of experts believe that Michigan State is the school to beat and that's huge considering he's from the East Coast and Virginia and Maryland are local options.

Ward is ranked the No. 50 overall recruit in the class and the 14th-best power forward, according to the 247Sports Composite. He stands 6-foot-7 and weighs 210 pounds which isn't the best size for a small forward but he still has plenty of time to fill out.

A class that was once considered "lost" after missing on Trey McKenney, Trent Sisley, Dwayne Aristode, Darius Adams, and Jalen Haralson is starting to shape up nicely with Jordan Scott and potentially Cam Ward kicking things off.
