Two of the top remaining targets in the 2026 class are still strongly considering Michigan State basketball.

In fact, Tom Izzo and the Spartans made the cut for two of the best prospects in the 2026 class on Tuesday, joining a handful of others who have also named Michigan State on their trimmed lists.

Two more guys join the mix with Julius Avent, Ethan Taylor, Quinn Costello, and Jalyn Collingwood, among others, who are very high on the Spartans.

The first was top-250 center Maxime Meyer from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

The Spartans made the final six for Meyer who's ranked the No. 244 overall recruit and 27th-best center in the 2026 class, according to the composite. He's not as highly-ranked as some other Spartan targets, but Izzo has had some luck with IMG players recently -- including Carson Cooper who was a center for IMG Academy four years ago.

SMU, Vanderbilt, St. Mary's, Stanford, and Ohio State also made the top six along with MSU.

The other top target to list Michigan State in his trimmed schools list was top-40 forward Maximo Adams from Chatsworth, Calif.

Adams is apparently down to 11 schools. He is ranked the No. 40 prospect in the 2026 class as well as the No. 17 small forward, according to 247Sports.

The four-star small forward is also considering Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, North Carolina, Washington, Purdue, Illinois, Texas, Arizona State, and USC along with Michigan State.

Izzo is recruiting plenty of elite talent in 2026, and now you can throw two more guys on the recruiting board. Meyer doesn't have a visit scheduled yet, but Adams will be on campus over the weekend of Sept. 11.
