Michigan State basketball is putting the full-court press on 4-star Jasiah Jervis

Tom Izzo wants this dude in the green and white -- bad.

Over the weekend, Michigan State basketball hosted some big-time recruits during its annual Grind Week event that featured NBA players such as Draymond Green, Gary Harris, Xavier Tillman, Miles Bridges, and Jaren Jackson Jr. even stopped by for a visit.

The recruits on campus for their visit got to meet some of the best players to ever suit up for Tom Izzo, and learn a thing or two from them.

Carlos Medlock Jr. led the way for the visitors as a four-star point guard commit who verbally pledged to Michigan State back in July. He was joined by four-star forward Quinn Costello and four-star shooting guard Jasiah Jervis. Izzo would like both of those guys in his 2026 class.

But he has shown who his top remaining priority is in 2026.

That's none other than Jervis. The top-40 shooting guard from White Plains, N.Y., was just on campus, and then on Wednesday, Izzo and three of his assistants went to visit him.

Pitt, Florida, and Tennessee were also in to visit Jervis at Archbishop Stepinac on Wednesday, but it's clear who's putting forth the biggest push: Izzo.

Not often does Izzo take three different assistants with him to check out a recruit that's already high up on his board, especially when that prospect was just on campus a few days earlier. That just goes to show that Izzo wants Jervis in his 2026 class badly. The Hall of Famer has identified the missing piece to his backcourt.

Izzo sees Jervis as a guy who could potentially have the success that Jase Richardson had. He's an athletic shooting guard who can handle the ball, and score in bunches. Selling him on the Richardson role could be a game-changer in this recruitment.

Jervis has soared in the recruiting rankings lately, coming in at No. 34 nationally in the composite and he's also listed as the second-best shooting guard in the country.

Izzo is doing everything in his power to get Jervis in the green and white.
