With one commit already locked in, Michigan State basketball is trying to grow its 2026 recruiting class in the near future, and Tom Izzo has one major target in mind.

Jasiah Jervis was just on campus during Grind Week with Quinn Costello and Carlos Medlock Jr., and after the former committed to Michigan on Tuesday, the White Plains, N.Y., product remains the lone uncommitted prospect who visited East Lansing that weekend.

And Izzo is hoping he commits to the Spartans sooner rather than later.

The staff has been putting the full-court press on Jervis, hosting him back in early September and then visiting his high school just last week to check in on him. He's taken visits to NC State and Pitt recently, and the Spartans decided to check in on him once again.

On Wednesday, assistant coach Doug Wojcik is expected to visit with Jervis again.

By now, it's fairly clear who the top remaining target in the Spartans' 2026 class is. Jervis is easily the top remaining target, seeing as the staff has now seen him three times in the past two weeks.

It's not going to be easy to get him to commit soon, however. Jervis has trips planned to Texas, Illinois, Oregon, Florida, and Tennessee over the next month, and he just visited Pitt and NC State. It seems like a lot of schools are pushing for him, but the Spartans are trying to pitch a future backcourt of him and Medlock Jr. -- that would be one of the best backcourts in the Big Ten.

Jervis likely won't be committing until after all of his visits in October, but Michigan State is making its presence felt with the four-star shooting guard.

The 6-foot-4 rising star is ranked the No. 34 overall recruit and second-best shooting guard in the 2026 class, per the composite. He'd look great in the green and white.
