In case you've been living under a rock this past week, some big news broke regarding a couple of former Michigan State players, including a non-rookie in Marcus Bingham Jr.

Jase Richardson was the only Spartan who was selected in the 2025 NBA Draft but a handful of former Michigan State stars found homes on NBA Summer League rosters shortly after.

Jaden Akins was the name everyone was looking for following the draft process, but it took an entire week for him to announce he'd be joining the Orlando Magic. But he's not just joining Richardson, he's also teaming up with Marcus Bingham Jr. who was in East Lansing during Akins' freshman season.

It's going to be awesome to see these three on the same team during NBA Summer League action and it'll be interesting to see if they feed off each other.

We already know Richardson and Akins play well together as they shared a backcourt in East Lansing for the Big Ten champs this past season. We also have seen Akins and Bingham on the court at the same time, but they didn't exactly play extensively together as Jaden was just a freshman when Marcus was a senior. The playing time wasn't exactly even.

These three aren't the only former Michigan State stars to make Summer League rosters, however.

Mady Sissoko is joining the reigning world champs as part of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Frankie Fidler is joining the Milwaukee Bucks. Szymon Zapala hasn't received an invite yet, but the Polish national team just announced that he made the roster ahead of 2025 EuroBasket.

Oh, and AJ Hoggard, too, is headed to the Summer League with New Orleans.

There will be a lot of Spartans to keep an eye on this summer.
