The Kirk Cousins-to-Cody White connection in Las Vegas is turning into one of the most clutch offensive links in the NFL. For a second week in a row, the Spartan duo combined for the game-winning touchdown, improving the Raiders to a surprising 3-0.
Trailing 14-10 in the third quarter against Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers a week ago, Cousins found White for a 13-yard touchdown pass with just under four minutes left. That turned out to be the game-winner.
For good measure about 15 minutes later, White catch an 11-yard touchdown pass from Cousins to put the game away for good. The Las Vegas Spartans improved to 2-0 with the road win over the Chargers and White immediately became one of the best stories in the NFL while Cousins continued his heater to begin the 2026 season.
On Sunday, the two did it again.
On the road against a vastly improved New Orleans Saints team, the Raiders looked like they were in for their first loss of the season before Cousins hit White for a 5-yard touchdown pass with just under 9:30 left in the fourth quarter to make it a 28-27 game which was the eventual game-winner.

The Raiders added a touchdown to put the game away and improve to 3-0 and it’s thanks to a Spartan-to-Spartan connection that has turned into three touchdowns over the past two weeks.
Jalen Nailor was supposed to be the Spartan receiver to have the biggest impact in the Raiders’ offense, but White has made the most of his opportunities. He has three catches this season and all three have been for massive scores.
The Las Vegas Spartans are en fuego.
Kirk Cousins is experiencing a second wind
Three weeks into the 2026 season, Cousins looks like he’s gotten some of his mojo back.
Following a forgettable tenure with the Atlanta Falcons, Cousins has looked like a completely different quarterback with the No. 1 pick backing him up. Maybe he feels the pressure to perform, but he’s led the Raiders to a surprising 3-0 start and he looks like one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL.
Through three games, Cousins has 661 yards, nine touchdowns, and three interceptions while completing nearly 70 percent of his passes. He looks like prime Minnesota Kirk Cousins.
The 38-year-old former Michigan State quarterback is earning his hefty contract and it looks like he may just mess around and lead the Raiders to a division title and playoff berth.
