Michigan State football fans have been craving any sort of insight into the team as fall camp comes to an end and game week preparation for the opener approaches.
Over the weekend, Michigan State held its last scrimmage of fall camp, and those in attendance made sure to provide some positive updates on the team. Former strength and conditioning coach Ken Mannie was lucky enough to be in attendance, and he shared his thoughts on social media shortly after.
Mannie said that Aidan Chiles was impressive, the defense had some thumpers, the receivers were good, and the running backs impressed him, all while saying the special teams had some power.
The former strength and conditioning coach provided positive updates, but no specifics outside of QB1.
Earlier this week at the final media availability of fall camp, Jonathan Smith spoke about the scrimmage and named a handful of guys who stood out.

It's good to hear that Makhi Frazier and Brandon Tullis are standing out. It feels like those guys will be leading the backfield this season and Elijah Tau-Tolliver will be the third option. The backfield has been an area of concern for many fans without much experience back there.
Sam Edwards, a recently-named captain, and Brady Pretzlaff earned praise from Smith as well. This should give fans an idea of what to expect from the linebackers (there's serious depth there).
Lastly, Rod Bullard continues to stand out. The closer we get to the regular season, the more I believe that he's going to be the third starter. He has exceeded all expectations so far this fall, and I could see him complementing Omari Kelly and Nick Marsh.
Kickoff is in less than 10 days.
