Tre Holloman: B

Watching Tre Holloman grow into his starting role this season has been a treat but if you actually looked at his numbers, you'd be shocked to see that he's shooting under 40 percent from the floor. His offense will come but he's been so solid defensively and he's hit a multitude of big shots that he doesn't deserve anything less than a B. He's averaging 7.5 points and 3.9 assists per game and he's shooting 96 percent from the free throw line.

Jaxon Kohler: B-

Is this grade a little too harsh? I think it might be, but Jaxon Kohler has one of the highest ceilings of anyone on the team and I could see him finishing with an A/A- by the end of the year. What will get him into that A-range? He simply needs to find his confidence on the offensive end of the floor. Kohler has improved defensively and he's a menace on the boards, averaging a team-high 8.1 rebounds per game but he is shooting just 47 percent from the floor and a majority of his misses have been bunnies. Kohler can get to the rim with a devastating spin move, but he has to finish.

Szymon Zapala: B+

I'm giving Szymon Zapala a B+ because he's been a surprising contributor this season. I can't say that he's the best big on the team (because I think Kohler can be) but he's been the most consistent through the first two months of the season. Zapala has been just what the team needed to replace Mady Sissoko. He's averaging just 5.8 points and 4.8 rebounds but he doesn't make many mistakes and he's shooting 68 percent from the floor.

Frankie Fidler: C+

If this was a grade before the Penn State game, Fidler would likely have gotten a C, but he just broke out against the Nittany Lions for 18 points and he was arguably the reason the Spartans were able to hold on in that one. Fidler hasn't lived up to expectations so far, but if he continues to play like he did against Penn State, he will be in that A-range by the end of the year. So far, he's averaging 8.9 points and 3.5 rebounds and he's only shooting 39 percent from the floor and a mere 18 percent from deep.
