The NFL preseason is always a fun time to check in on which former Michigan State stars are playing well and which ones might surprise people and make rosters.

Unfortunately, a couple of Spartans have failed to make roster cuts so far this preseason.

Ameer Speed was cut earlier this preseason, and the Steelers recently released Kenny Willekes just days after signing him out of the UFL. Montorie Foster Jr., too, was recently released by the Seattle Seahawks after suffering an injury, but it felt like that was a roster that he could potentially flirt with making. However, there's another Spartan who could make the Seahawks' roster.

Cody White is still on the roster after the latest preseason game, and he shined for the Seahawks in their preseason loss on Saturday afternoon to the Green Bay Packers.

The former Michigan State star led the Seahawks in receiving with three catches for 69 yards and this touchdown below:

White actually led all receivers in the Packers vs. Seahawks game with those 69 yards on three catches, and he also stood out with an impressive 35-yard punt return to give Seattle some great field position which ended with his touchdown.

Just how good did he play on Saturday? He was the Seahawks' top-graded offensive player.

After doing a little research, it looks like White is a fringe roster player who is projected to be a third-stringer in the Seahawks' receiving corps.

Former Spartan Ricky White is also fighting for a roster spot with Seattle, so we could see a duo of former Michigan State stars in the Seahawks' receiving corps. It would've been cool to see Foster there, too.
