A big announcement is coming on Friday evening as five-star center Ethan Taylor is planning to reveal which school he’ll be attending next season, and Michigan State fans are hoping for some good news.
Taylor, the No. 23 recruit in the 2026 class, is deciding between Indiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Michigan State, and all signs are pointing to him joining the Spartans. Michigan State has already signed four-stars Jasiah Jervis, Julius Avent, and Carlos Medlock Jr., and it looks like Tom Izzo might have his first five-star since Xavier Booker in the 2023 class.
Nothing is for certain, and recruiting is fluid, but experts have made their predictions, and one well-known insider has hinted that Michigan State is getting good news on Friday.
And I doubt that the good news is the Maximo Adams commitment.
Taylor announced his commitment date last week, and ever since, Spartan fans have been feeling optimistic because before that, there were rumblings that Michigan State was the clear leader.
With the commitment date set, so was the live stream information. Apparently, he will be making his decision via CBS Sports. Here’s how to watch:
Stream: Friday, Nov. 14 at 4 p.m. ET on CBS Sports’ YouTube channel
Michigan State fans will be tuning in, and you can bet some hopeful Indiana, Oregon, Oklahoma, and Kansas fans will be watching, too, but all signs are pointing to another Izzo win.
Landing the nation’s No. 23 overall player and fourth commit will likely give Izzo a top-five class in 2026. Just when the doubters start getting loud again, Izzo comes right in and shuts them up. We’ll see if Taylor gives Spartan fans good news early on Friday evening.
