Week 13 is here and that means that Michigan State football is nearing the end of its 2024 road with Purdue coming to town for a rare Friday night battle in East Lansing.

The Spartans will host 1-9 Purdue on Friday night with the hopes of a bowl berth still on the line. Michigan State needs to win the final two games to be eligible for postseason play and despite the final two opponents being beatable, neither is going to just roll over.

Michigan State will look to improve to 5-6 on the year while Ryan Walters will be fighting for his job, according to reports.

As has become tradition here, I've run a simulation on EA Sports College Football 25 of Michigan State's next matchup with Purdue on Friday night. And I'll be honest, Spartan fans aren't going to love the results from this simulation.

Michigan State football vs. Purdue simulation results

College Football 25 has Michigan State losing to Purdue on Friday night, 30-27. The Boilermakers will out-gain the Spartans 428-353 and despite them holding a 12-10 lead at halftime, they were out-scored 20-15 in the second half.

Here were the top performers, according to the simulation:

Player

Stats

Aidan Chiles

16-for-31, 260 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT; 13 rushes for 41 yards

Nate Carter

13 carries for 44 yards

Brennan Parachek

4 catches for 46 yards

Nick Marsh

3 catches for 89 yards and a TD

Jaron Glover

3 catches for 92 yards and a TD

Ed Woods

9 total tackles

Jordan Turner

7 tackles, 1 pass breakup

Jordan Hall

9 tackles, 1 pass breakup

Nikai Martinez

4 tackles, 1 interception

Khris Bogle

4 tackles, 1 sack

As you can see, it wasn't a horrible game for Aidan Chiles but he did throw an interception. He finished with over 300 total yards, also leading the team in rushing. His favorite target, Nick Marsh, continued to dominate with 89 yards and a touchdown.

Oh, and Khris Bogle picked up the team's first sack in six weeks.

Still, can't be happy with a loss.
