The Demetrice Martin news didn't scare Terrance Edwards away.

After only one season with his alma mater, Demetrice Martin has decided to leave Michigan State football for UCLA and the recruiting fallout has taken center stage following the move.

On Monday just hours after Martin was rumored to be headed to UCLA, three-star cornerback LaRue Zamorano announced he would be decommitting from Michigan State and the early favorites to land him had to be the Bruins. Losing a position coach right before signing day hurts, especially when he was the top recruiter on the staff -- at least one of the best MSU had to offer.

So when recent West Virginia flip Terrance Edwards was asked about his Michigan State commitment ahead of signing day on Wednesday following the Martin news, his answer talked some fans off the ledge.

"I'm locked in" are the three best words you can hear from an important recruit right before they're about to sign. Obviously anything can happen in recruiting and we've seen kids flip after saying things like this (Rayshaun Benny comes to mind) but it sounds like Edwards is unmoved by the news of Martin leaving despite him being his primary recruiter.

Oh, and he's going to sign on Wednesday.

Just a week ago Martin was able to flip Edwards from West Virginia where he had been committed since June. He and Blue Adams worked hard to earn his commitment and he did so just in time as his former future head coach Neal Brown was fired from West Virginia this past weekend.

So even with Martin moving on, Edwards doesn't plan on entertaining any of his other offers which include the likes of Michigan, Tennessee, Florida State, Penn State, Clemson, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Missouri, Colorado, and Indiana.

This is a nice recruiting win for the Spartans as they look like they'll be able to hold on to Edwards.
