Moneyball can be a tricky event to judge every year. Michigan State basketball fans flock to social media to see the latest highlights or stat lines from their favorite players at Moneyball just to get excited about what could come the following season only to realize there's no defense being played.

Heck, we've seen guys like Tum Tum Nairn and Pierre Brooks piece together legendary performances at the event which generated misleading offseason storylines for 2-3 months.

However, usually when a player looks more comfortable shooting the ball at Moneyball (outside of Tum Tum), it's a sign that it could translate to the following season. While there's very little defense played, you can tell how comfortable a player is with a certain shot by how well and often they shoot it at Moneyball.

If that's the case, it looks like Carson Cooper may have added a new facet to his game.

In a highlight video put together by Brendon Pricco for Spartans Illustrated, Cooper and Jeremy Fears Jr. fed off each other in last week's Moneyball performance and it looks like a pick-and-pop might be possible in the near future with these two. Cooper has seemingly added a 3-point shot to his game.

Throughout his Michigan State career, Cooper has attempted just one 3-pointer and it was this past season. It resulted in a brick, but maybe it was a sign of things to come? Obviously joking because no one expected him to add a jumper to his game nor even asked for it, but if he can step out for the occasional three to keep defenses honest, that just makes Michigan State that much more dangerous.

Fears looks great in these highlights, too, but the standout was the Cooper jumper that not only looked comfortable, but the form looked great and it didn't even touch the rim.

Give me a Cooper three every other game and I'm a happy man.
