Every year around this time, Michigan State basketball fans get to watch the Spartans take the floor for a way-too-early sneak-peek of the upcoming season.
Star Spartans take part in the annual Moneyball Pro-Am which pins them against each other in a six-team league that runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays for two weeks.
Just last week, Moneyball released its official rosters for the event which begins on Tuesday.
There are six teams in the event and the league will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays over the next two weeks. Here's what teams the Spartans participating in the event have been assigned to.
Team Tristar: Jeremy Fears Jr., Carson Cooper
Team Faygo: Divine Ugochukwu, Jaxon Kohler
Team Snipes: Trey Fort, Jordan Scott
Team Motorcars: Coen Carr, Cam Ward
Team Case Credit Union: Nick Sanders
Team SPS: Kur Teng, Denham Wojcik
Obviously there are a couple of key players missing. Both Jesse McCulloch and Kaleb Glenn are nursing recently suffered injuries. McCulloch has a reported stress fracture and he's expected to return at some point before the season while Glenn's torn patellar tendon is keeping him out for the year.
Poor Nick Sanders is on a team by himself because of these injuries and Kur Teng has a recently-added guard as his teammate in the form of Doug Wojcik's son, Denham Wojcik.
The team I'm most excited about is obviously Team Motorcars with Coen Carr and Cam Ward leading the way. They could have the most highlights of any team in the field. I'll also be interested in seeing Team Snipes with Trey Fort and Jordan Scott teamed up as well as Teams Tristar and Faygo.
The first game will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, between Snipes (Fort, Scott) and Tristar (Fears, Cooper). Following that, it'll be Faygo (Ugochukwu, Kohler) vs. Motorcars (Carr, Ward) at 7 p.m. ET. The last game on Junr 24 will be between Case Credit Union (Sanders) and SPS (Teng, Wojcik).
If you're looking for the first big game of the event, it'll be at 7 p.m. ET on June 24 which follows another great game at 6 p.m.
Finally, something to hold us over for the next two weeks.
