Carlos Medlock Jr. has been committed to Michigan State for just three days, but he's still the topic of conversation in the college basketball landscape.

Before committing to Michigan State, Medlock was tearing it up this summer ad the Adidas 3SSB event, averaging over 21 points per game. He looked like one of the best point guards in the class despite being severely underrated, and he was eventually granted a spot in the top 100 nationally by 247Sports.

Everyone has been raving about Medlock, from AJ Hoggard to Fran Fraschilla and now to Rapheal Davis. They have all echoed the same sentiment: Medlock is a dawg.

That tweet is pretty telling, too. It shows that Davis believes that there are college basketball coaches out there who don't go and see recruits in person but rather rely on stars and rankings.

And he's right about Izzo.

While Medlock wasn't the highest-rated kid in the class, Izzo loved what he saw from the 5-foot-11 point guard and offered him, putting on the full-court press. It didn't take long for him to convince Medlock to commit despite receiving plenty of interest from new programs over the past month.

Davis is pretty high on Medlock just like seemingly everyone else and it's a good sign that all of these media members who aren't connected are speaking highly of the four-star point guard.

Michigan State is set up for the future in the backcourt and Rapheal Davis knows talent because he's been around it and he's covered it throughout his career. If he thinks Medlock is a "dawg", I think we should expect big things from the slight-framed point guard.
