A former Michigan State football player is on the move, and he might be headed to another school in the Big Ten. Nick Marsh is one of the most coveted transfers in the country and he has no shortage of potential suitors.
Recently, two schools stood out for Marsh, per reports, and one of them was a Big Ten contender and recent powerhouse which is still fighting for a national title.
One of the programs standing out for Marsh was Notre Dame, and Michigan State fans would hate that move seeing as the Irish are one of the Spartans’ top rivals. Plus, Michigan State will be facing Notre Dame in 2026 in South Bend. Facing Marsh would be a nightmare for Spartan fans.
The other potential destination would also hurt to see as he would be headed elsewhere in the Big Ten.
Marsh looks like he might just end up at Indiana.
Indiana is trending heavily with Nick Marsh
After spending the last two seasons in East Lansing, Marsh is ready to play for a contender. He’s not giving Pat Fitzgerald much of a chance, but there’s still a small chance that he could return to Michigan State because of Courtney Hawkins.
Marsh has faced Indiana twice in his Michigan State career and he’s 0-2 against the Hoosiers. He did have one of his most iconic catches against Indiana in 2024, however.

Over the weekend, he’s been visiting Indiana, according to reports as well as his mom’s X account.
Fortunately, Michigan State won’t face the wagon that is Indiana next season, so if he does end up in Bloomington, there’s a good chance that the Spartans will never have to face him.
Michigan State will face Indiana in 2027, so if Marsh is around as a senior, he would see the Spartans in East Lansing. If he picks either Notre Dame or Indiana and is around for four years, he would face Michigan State in East Lansing as the Spartans will host both in 2027.
Marsh had a solid sophomore season with the Spartans, catching 59 passes for 662 yards and six touchdowns. Now he’s going to make one school very happy.
If this is truly the end of Marsh in a Michigan State uniform, he finished with 100 receptions for 1,311 yards and nine touchdowns.
It looks like he’s going to haunt MSU if he does leave.
