3. A tight end
I know, this isn't specific, but I could see this happening, especially with Jack Velling seemingly opting to return for another season after a disappointing 2024 campaign.
Velling didn't have a "bad" year, by any means, but he did fall short of preseason expectations, especially after leading all college football tight ends with eight touchdown catches last season. He finished his first campaign at Michigan State with 36 catches for 411 yards and just one score which came in the fourth quarter of the season finale.
With Velling likely returning, he's going to field a majority of the snaps.
That means that the tight end room will be limited behind him. I could see any one of Brennan Parachek, Michael Masunas, or Wyatt Hook hitting the portal and that's because I believe all of them could earn starting snaps elsewhere.
Do I want any of them to transfer? Absolutely not, they all have incredibly high ceilings and one will be the go-to tight end when Velling leaves, but it just feels inevitable at this point.
