We have made it to the first official visit weekend of the summer and that means we are one step closer to the start of the 2025 Michigan State football season.

Official visits signal the start of the countdown to kickoff in the fall after spring ball wrapped up over a month ago. This is when fans start to really get excited about the start of college football. Fortunately, some of us have been able to pass the time during the summer waiting for kickoff with the annual release of EA Sports' College Football 26.

Michigan State fans have also been waiting patiently for a commitment of any sort. The Spartans haven't landed a 2026 class commitment since February.

That should change soon thanks to official visits.

One top Michigan State target with an official visit planned in June announced on Friday afternoon that he would be committing later this summer.

Adrian Hamilton is a three-star offensive lineman from Washington D.C. who holds nearly two dozen offers and is also planning to visit Virginia, Pitt, and Virginia Tech after a June 2 official to Michigan State. The Spartan coaching staff has to like where it stands with Hamilton.

Hamilton is rated an 87 on 247Sports and the composite has him listed as the No. 914 overall recruit in the class and also the 80th-best interior offensive lineman.

Michigan State will hopefully have some commitments rolling in before July 5, but the Spartans could be on commit watch right after the Fourth of July.

Smith could use some positive momentum of any sort. This would qualify.
