3. Western Michigan wins the race to 10, MSU covers easily
If there's one thing you can almost always count on, it's Michigan State failing to win the race to 10 against an inferior opponent. The Spartans have a tendency to come out a little slower than most, but they turn it up after the under-16 timeout and by that point, it feels like they're down 4-6 points.
Although Western Michigan might be the worst team the Spartans have faced this season, they're going to play with a little extra spark early on from Dwayne Stephens' homecoming.
The Broncos, who are usually a horrendous 3-point shooting team, will make a few threes early in the first few minutes that will have Spartan fans rolling their eyes so far back into their heads that they'll lose vision for about three minutes. After that, it will be all Michigan State.
Western will win that race to 10, but Michigan State controls the game from that point on, taking a 15-point lead into the half and winning by 30.
Michigan State takes this one, 88-58.
