2. Katin Houser out-duels Drew Allar

Trust me, I know how insane this sounds. But both quarterbacks were highly touted Elite 11 guys in the 2022 recruiting class and I have no doubt that Katin Houser has the potential to be one of the best the Big Ten has to offer — with the right coaching.

We’ll see a glimpse of that again on Friday night.

Houser won’t have to worry about the weather because it’ll be indoors so that’s already a positive and he’ll get enough protection from his line to have one of his better games. He’s coming off Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors from his Indiana performance and he’s just going to build on that.

The redshirt freshman is going to out-duel his former blue-chip counterpart.

Allar has been mediocre, at best, over the past two weeks, failing to surpass the 100-yard mark against Michigan and Rutgers. And he’s dealing with some injuries.

I think James Franklin is going to be very conservative with his star quarterback and that’ll lead to another modest performance through the air.

Houser will pass for 200 yards and two scores while Allar has his second pick of the year with just 140 yards and a score.
