2. MSU shoots over 50 percent from deep

No, this isn’t a typo. I truly think the Spartans are getting hot. I don’t actually think that, I know it.

After starting the season 2-for-31 from deep, Michigan State has been getting gradually better each time out and just shot 40 percent against Alcorn State (10-for-25).

This came after a performance against Butler in which the Spartans made seven threes. They were also slightly better against Duke than they were against Southern Indiana and James Madison. This team just needed to find its offensive footing and gain some confidence and it’s done just that over the past two games.

That momentum will carry over into Thursday’s game in Palm Springs as the Spartans will make over 50 percent of their threes against the Wildcats thanks to great ball movement and open looks.

My prediction will have to be 11-for-21 from deep.

Getting better every game.
