We are now in month two of looking for a new head coach and while the Michigan State football season is winding down, we have no more clarity on who will be the next leader of the program.

We do, however, have a good idea of who won’t be coaching Michigan State next year.

What coaches have completely fallen off the radar?

A name that probably should have fallen off the radar the second it was mentioned, Pat Narduzzi has had a nightmare of a season with Pitt.

You think Michigan State’s season is going poorly? Pitt is officially out of bowl eligibility after starting the year 2-7. The Panthers’ only wins are against Wofford and Louisville (somehow) and they lost their last two games against Florida State and Notre Dame by a combined score of 82-14. Essentially, Narduzzi might be on the hot seat after this season.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s done a decent job at Pitt and Michigan State even faced him in a New Year’s Six bowl a couple of years ago, but he did state that if Pitt were in the Big Ten, they would probably dominate — or something to that effect.

And here he is at 2-7 to start the 2023 season. Not sure if he was ever a realistic option, but he isn’t anymore.
