2. Keep the interception train rolling

Despite the final score, The Spartans are playing decent football when boneheaded coaching and player mistakes aren’t being made.

The defense already having tripled its interception total from 2022 with seven games to go has helped them stay in games.

Outside of a mind-numbing performance against Bowling Green, JJ McCarthy hasn’t thrown an interception although it’s tough when you only have 14 pass attempts, and you know what formation the defense will be in before you even break the huddle.

Now that the Wolverines will be without their psychic, we will see if the Spartans can disguise their coverages enough to make McCarthy uncomfortable.

Reason and logic say they will, but those aren’t words used to describe Scottie Hazelton.
