1. Michigan State wins on a late touchdown

Going into this game, there aren’t a ton of expectations for Michigan State.

The Spartans are starting a brand-new quarterback, the team is riddled with injuries, and they’re on a three-game losing streak in which they’ve only scored 32 total points over the past three games. Michigan State has scored a total of three touchdowns during that stretch and one of them was on the defensive side of the ball. Just a horrible stretch of play from the offense.

And the defense, as stated, has been ravaged by injuries.

But the Spartans have gotten an extra week to prepare for this game and I think they’ll actually come out ready to play. I’m expecting them to look like the better team for a second straight week and actually finish the job this time.

Michigan State will win on a late touchdown pass from Katin Houser to Maliq Carr to seal a 28-24 victory.
