2. The defense scores a touchdown

The major question on Saturday will be this: will Michigan State finally break the 10-point mark for the first time since Week 2? I think the answer will surprisingly be ‘yes’ and it’ll be thanks to a big pick-six by the defense to really get things going.

Cade McNamara has been incredibly mediocre this season and he has a prime opportunity to bounce back against a mediocre passing defense. But because Iowa doesn’t utilize receivers much, it’ll be up to the tight ends and running backs to account for most of the receiving yards. And I think that’ll end up playing into Michigan State’s favor.

Cal Haladay, Aaron Brule, Jacoby Windmon, and Jordan Hall all have the ability to pick off a pass and take it the other way and I think we’re actually going to see the freshman do it.
