1. The atmosphere will be electric

While you can’t base a win or a loss on being at home or on the road, there’s a lot to be said when the atmosphere is electric and the visiting team feels that intimidation factor right away.

East Lansing is going to be noticeably buzzing on Saturday night.

Why?

Mark Dantonio is back on the sidelines, Harlon Barnett is the acting head coach, the 2014 Rose Bowl champion team is being celebrated, it’s a night game, and it’s an opportunity for a major upset in East Lansing. The chip is back on the shoulder for the Spartans.

All of these factors are going to make Spartan Stadium the place to be this weekend and I think you’re going to see one of the better crowds that we’ve witnessed in years.

Michigan State is going to feed off the energy from the crowd and pull off its biggest win since beating Michigan in 2021.

Barnett will improve to 1-0 as head coach and he’ll praise the atmosphere afterwards.
