Michigan State Football: 3 goals and a prediction for Week 2 vs. Richmond

2. Finish the game with no impactful injuries

The last thing we need is a vital player offensively or defensively to have to miss any significant time like the Spartans did last year. Having Darius Snow and Captain Xavier Henderson out for the Washington game really left the Spartan defense no chance against an already elite quarterback.

Michigan State will need to be at full strength and then have their best players play their best game if the Spartans want any chance to beat Washington next week.

On offense, the offensive line may have depth, but the depth needs to be used to keep fresh legs. Same goes for the receivers and Nathan Carter. Go in, clean up the fundamentals that were missing in the CMU game, gain a big lead, and let the walk-ons have their moments.
