2. Michigan State football finishes with six sacks

A year ago, the pass rush was a bit of an issue for Michigan State. It felt like quarterbacks had all day to sit in the pocket and pick apart the defensive backfield which is a big reason the Spartans had one of the worst passing defenses in the country.

That’s not going to happen this year.

The defensive line is a major strength heading into the season and we’re going to see these guys put pressure on the young Central Michigan quarterbacks who like to run. They’re going to get happy feet in the pocket, feel the pressure, and run into a couple of sacks early on.

And then the defense will just smother both CMU quarterbacks. We’ll see a coverage sack as well as just some bully ball going on in the trenches.

Michigan State finishes with six sacks to kick off the season the right way. I’m predicting Simeon Barrow, Tunmise Adeleye, Zion Young, Khris Bogle, and Jacoby Windmon all find their way to the quarterback at least once.
