While Michigan State is already bowl eligible at this point, padding that win column and improving bowl game positioning will be key. The perfect game to add a win and bolster that overall resume would be at Indiana on Nov. 18.

Michigan State players — and fans — haven’t forgotten about that Indiana loss last season. No one will be able to forget that for a while. But revenge will be on the menu this time around.

Katin Houser makes some big plays down the stretch and Nathan Carter rushes for 150 yards to beat the pesky Hoosiers and notch win No. 7 on the year.

Prediction: Win (7-4, 4-4)

Imagine what the narrative will be if Michigan State is able to win eight games in the regular season with the schedule that it had to begin the year. Beating teams like Washington and Penn State would easily silence all the Mel Tucker doubters. And it’s entirely possible.

However, I just think Penn State is too good and it might just be playing for a spot in the Big Ten title in this one. It’d be great to see a repeat of 2021 (without the snow) but that won’t happen.

Penn State marches into Ford Field and picks up a big win in front of an alumni-heavy crowd.

Prediction: Loss (7-5, 4-5)
