Nick Marsh is an elite prospect. In fact, the Michigan State football commit (two times) is one of the most electric receivers in the country and he nearly led River Rouge (Mich.) to a huge win over two-time defending state champion Belleville (Mich.).

Unfortunately, Belleville’s Bryce Underwood was able to connect on a long pass with less than 30 seconds left to beat River Rouge and take home the season-opening win.

But the loss for River Rouge didn’t come without what felt like dozens of Marsh highlights.

The Michigan State commit had himself a game, catching some passes, but scoring three times in other ways. He had a kickoff return touchdown and two wildcat touchdowns where he was able to run the ball in after taking it out of the shotgun.

As Allen Trieu said after covering the game, Marsh looks more explosive and agile.

It’s wild to think he’s been dropped from No. 71 in the composite down to No. 129 over the past year, but that should change soon if he continues to dominate against elite competition.

Season-opening highlights of the Michigan State football commit

Just check out some of these impressive plays by Marsh.

Marsh is clearly one of the best athletes in the country and even when he’s lined up at quarterback in the wildcat and everyone in the stands knows he’s running with it, he can still pick up big yardage and touchdowns. He’s almost unstoppable.

I’m excited to see how he keeps growing and getting more attention throughout the year because he’s a special player.
