1. Who will be QB1?

Obviously the biggest question heading into the season is about who the starting quarterback will be. Everyone wants to know who QB1 is and Mel Tucker hasn’t decided yet.

We are one week away from kickoff.

Sure, this could go into the season, but it’d be wise for Tucker to figure out the quarterback battle before then. There are two solid options and he won’t go wrong with either one.

Noah Kim is the veteran quarterback of the two. He’s been with the program since 2020 as he was the last Mark Dantonio quarterback commit. Dantonio flipped Kim from Virginia Tech but the quarterback decided to stay with the program after the legendary head coach retired suddenly and now he’s finally fighting for the starting job.

Katin Houser probably has a higher ceiling and he’s the younger, more highly-touted option. He was an Elite 11 quarterback and one of the best in his class (2022). Tucker was able to flip him from Boise State late in the process. Many believe he’s the best option because he is bigger, stronger, and probably has a more talented arm.

With just days until kickoff, who will Tucker name QB1?
