By all accounts, it sounds like Nathan Carter is having a really good preseason. His fall camp has been filled with praise from coaches and teammates and it just feels like we’re going to see another transfer running back come in and become a star for the Spartans. I’m not saying he’s Kenneth Walker 2.0, but even if he’s a fraction of what K9 was, MSU will be in luck.

From the get-go, I’ve been driving the Carter bandwagon and I don’t plan on slowing down any time soon. So either get on or be left behind. Because Carter will be fun to watch.

As a UConn running back, Carter looked like a budding star through two seasons. He had 578 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 4.6 yards per carry as a freshman in 2021 and then 405 yards on 6.2 yards per carry as a sophomore last season before getting injured in the fourth game and missing the remainder of the season.

If he gets the opportunity behind a strong offensive line, Carter is going to put up some really impressive numbers this season. I think he’ll be the most impactful transfer after breaking 1,000 rushing yards.
