Yes, another defensive lineman makes the list. And I think Simeon Barrow is going to be one of the best defensive linemen in the entire conference this season and not just the best on the Spartans.

Barrow broke out already last season, accounting for 40 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, and four sacks. That was good enough to earn honorable mention All-Big Ten last season and Pro Football Focus had him as a third-teamer. I think he’s only going to build on that in 2023 with second or first-team honors.

Last season’s success wasn’t new for Barrow. The former three-star recruit from Georgia has blossomed into a nice player and it started with a really good 2021 season. He had 34 total tackles, four tackles for loss, and three sacks.

So over the past two seasons, he has 74 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and seven sacks? Yeah, I’m buying all the stock for Barrow to be named to an All-Big Ten team in 2023.

Barrow is going to be a problem for opposing offenses on the regular.
