1. MSU Union

To say that Tom Izzo is just the school’s basketball coach is like saying Michael Jordan is just an NBA player. He’s an icon, a living legend, and a world-class representative for not just basketball, but for the entire university. Michigan State is synonymous with Tom Izzo, no matter the context.

It was Izzo whose words help the healing process begin after an unspeakable tragedy in February of 2023. It’s Izzo whose success on the court has led to countless opportunities for the other non-revenue sports and the community at large with events like the Izzo Legacy 5K, which has helped raise millions of dollars for dozens of charitable foundations over the years.

He’s been associated with the school for 40 years and has done everything the right way. No major NCAA infractions, no buying recruits (burgers or cash), no off-field scandals despite what ESPN wants to tell you. There is no singular human who has brought together a university on and off the playing field than Tom Izzo and has earned every bit of recognition and respect that comes his way.

What better way to honor a man that unifies an entire fanbase than to name a student Union after Tom Izzo?
