2. The re-commitment of Nick Marsh

Nick “Minitron” Marsh had a lot of us in a panic when he de-committed from Mel Tucker and the Spartans a few months back. It was much ado about nothing as Marsh announced he will be attending Michigan State next year in an announcement on July 7, choosing MSU over PSU, Kansas, Oregon, and Pitt.

The 6-foot-3, 207-pound wide receiver is the 2024 recruiting class’s highest-ranked player and has the ability to make an impact the moment he steps on campus.

It’s recruiting wins like this that help Mel Tucker deliver on his promises to recruit better and have the Spartans competing for champions again. Marsh and his family have also been busy trying to get recruits to come to East Lansing, most notably five-star David Stone Jr., who has set a commitment date of Aug. 26.
