It feels like we hear about a new Michigan State basketball recruiting target on a weekly basis. And hey, I’m not complaining.

Tom Izzo has his eggs in a lot of baskets and he’s not going to make the mistake of missing out on a target and then not having a backup plan. It’s happened to him numerous times in the past and that led to some disappointing classes. But he’s making sure that never happens again.

I’m not sure Niko Bundalo is a backup plan, however.

The top-25 prospect from the 2025 class is being pursued by some major programs after breaking out this summer such as Iowa, Illinois, Ohio State, Georgetown, Syracuse, Rutgers, Purdue, and Virginia who have all offered over the past couple of months, according to 247Sports.

Michigan State is standing out, however.

Michigan State basketball will get visit from Bundalo

According to Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers, Bundalo has been hearing from Michigan State plenty lately and he’s already planning a visit.

Weingarten spoke to him about his recruiting process which has blown up in recent months and he mentioned Michigan State as a new team that reached out. And he spoke highly of the Spartans and Tom Izzo and also stated that his first visit after the dead period will probably be to Michigan State.

That just goes to show the type of work Izzo has put in here.

Bundalo is the No. 25 overall recruit and No. 9 power forward in the 2025 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s from Hudson, Ohio.

Izzo has now reached out and targeted five of the top 25 players in the 2025 class. He’s not playing around.
