Yet another freshman on this list who was highly coveted in the 2023 class, Bai Jobe was being pursued by the likes of Oklahoma and Alabama before ultimately shutting his recruitment down and sticking with Mel Tucker and Michigan State.

The top commit of the Tucker era thus far (No. 54 overall) is likely to have a major impact early on and could even do enough to steal a starting job midway through the season.

Michigan State fans have to be excited about the defensive line’s potential, especially with Jobe fighting for a spot on the two-deep. He’s the best commit of the Tucker era and he’s not even promised to start early on which goes to show how solid the line should be.

I do, however, believe that Jobe is good enough to start and I could see him push guys like Khris Bogle, Zion Young, and Avery Dunn for a spot on the two-deep and eventually the starting job.

If there’s one freshman that I wouldn’t be shocked to see start in 2023, it’s Jobe.
