Pro: Great opportunity for breweries to link up with athletes for NIL

The basketball teams collaborate with a local microbrewery and the “hops” puns write themselves.

There’s also Mady Sissoko’s Block Party Bock, Coen Carr’s Slam Dunkel, Jaxon Kohler’s Kolsch.

The football team has Darius Snow’s Winter Ale, Spencer Brown Ale, Alex VanSummer Ale (how great would a Matt Coughlin Red Ale taste in 2021?). Mel Tucker’s Mel Pucker Sour Ale, even a Paul Bunyan Oktoberfest/pumpkin beer for that perfect mid-October refreshment.

The possibilities are endless for NIL deals with Spartan athletes and, of course, they would need to be of age as to not promote underage drinking.
