Tom Izzo isn’t done working on his 2024 class as he has just two commits thus far in Kur Teng and Jesse McCulloch but the legendary Michigan State basketball coach is already focusing on 2025.

Earlier today, I wrote about a report that Michigan State is making five-star shooting guard Darryn Peterson a priority in the 2025 class. It was good to hear that he’s already made his way to campus and that Izzo is developing a relationship with the Ohio native.

But Izzo isn’t done hosting top targets in the 2025 class this summer.

In fact, according to Dushawn London of 247Sports, four-star center Malachi Moreno is planning on visiting East Lansing next month. He says that Izzo has been to plenty of his games in the June live periods and he’s been asking for visit times.

Moreno is ranked the No. 59 overall recruit in the 2025 class as well as the eighth-best center and No. 1 prospect in Kentucky, according to the composite.

Add another target to the big board in the class of 2025.

With Moreno being added to the big board, Michigan State is now targeting the Nos. 3, 4, 10, 11, 14, 35, 52, and 59 prospects. That’s eight of the top 50 recruits in the class and five five-stars.

It’s clear that Izzo is not content with ending his coaching career with one national title.

In fact, Izzo landed the No. 4 class in 2023, he has a class that’s likely to finish top 10 in 2024, and the 2025 class is starting to really look like it has the potential to be one of his best yet.

Raise your hand if you’re excited to see how these classes unfold.
