Tom Gores

Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores graduated from Michigan State in 1986.

This one is simple: any student-athlete, male or female, that graduates from Michigan State automatically gets a tryout for the Pistons. The team’s record has been the worst in the NBA over the last five seasons so having an abundance of young athletes get looks can only help the team.

Do you mean to tell me that Michigan State volleyball outside hitter Selin Aslayan’s 6-foot-4 frame couldn’t help the Pistons’ pathetic defensive effort?

It would be innovative, progressive, and newsworthy, something the Pistons haven’t been in a long time.
