Friday could be an absolutely massive day for Michigan State football recruiting.

Two blue-chip prospects are announcing their college decisions on July 7 and both of them are strongly considering Michigan State. Actually, some might argue that the Spartans are the leaders in both of their recruitments with about 24 hours remaining until they announce.

Mel Tucker has done a great job of coming on strong after starting slowly.

Michigan State had just three commitments heading into the month of June after losing both Nick Marsh and Jamari Howard to decommitments, but it seems as if at least one of those guys could be back in the class as soon as this weekend.

In fact, Marsh is one of the blue-chip prospects making his college decision on July 7.

Four-star linebacker Dylan Williams is the other.

Michigan State football could soon land two top-200 recruits

Tucker has done his best Mariano Rivera impression, closing on a number of top prospects in the 2024 class over the past few weeks including Justin Denson, Henry Hasselbeck, Anthony Carrie, and Reggie Powers.

Now, it looks like he’s about to land his top two recruits in the class in the form of Marsh and Williams which will push the commitment total for Michigan State to 13 with four four-stars.

Jaylen Thompson was a four-star for the longest time until the latest 247Sports update.

Marsh has been trending toward Michigan State and away from Penn State ever since his official visit at the end of June and Williams has been trending heavily toward the Spartans over the last couple of days. It looks like Michigan State is about to get a whole lot better on Friday.

We are officially on commit watch (times two).
