No. 1 on this list should come as no surprise. You may have thought I had a wildcard up my sleeve, but David Stone was always the top target for Michigan State in the 2024 class.

All along, Michigan State fans have been clamoring for Stone to become a Spartan and while he’s still mulling his options (likely between Michigan State and Oklahoma), there are some things that could still help Mel Tucker land him.

What are those things?

Well, if Tucker can land a few more blue-chip recruits (anyone on this list), that would show Stone that he wouldn’t have to worry about joining a talented class. He would also be part of one of the most talented, on paper, Michigan State teams in years. Tucker has completely flipped the roster and he’s compiling consecutive solid recruiting classes.

The other thing that could help here is the fact that Bai Jobe is in East Lansing already. Stone is from Oklahoma and he’s friends with Jobe (also from Oklahoma). That connection could help Michigan State.

Stone has been high on Michigan State for a while and never has a bad thing to say about the Spartans but reeling him away from Oklahoma won’t be easy.

He’s the No. 5 overall recruit and No. 10 defensive lineman in the 2024 class.
