Just like Kamar Mothudi, DeAndre Carter is a California product and he’s high on Michigan State. He took an official visit to East Lansing on June 23 and loved what he saw.

Auburn and Texas are the real threats here and many consider the Tigers to be the favorites to land him, but Mel Tucker and Michigan State aren’t going to just roll over and let that happen.

While Michigan State has a strong offensive line class already with the Luniewski twins, Logan Bennett, and Andrew Dennis, Carter would be the highest-ranked of the bunch. He would join Dennis as the other four-star in the class along the line.

Carter is a 6-foot-4, 340-pound monster from Mater Dei and he’s one of the best interior offensive linemen in the class. He’s ranked by 247Sports as the No. 56 overall recruit and the nation’s top interior offensive lineman. That would be a massive addition for Tucker and Chris Kapilovic.

The Spartans are building something special in the trenches and it would be ideal to see Carter join the fold.
