A few big crystal balls came in for Michigan State football to land one of their top targets on Thursday night.

Justin Thind, Corey Robinson, and Stephen Brooks of 247Sports all predicted that the Spartans would land three-star cornerback Justin Denson over Florida, Oklahoma, and Alabama. He is fresh off a Michigan State official visit and it seems like everything went as planned for Mel Tucker. He knocked the visit out of the park.

Denson is now the latest Spartan target to receive a flurry of crystal balls, following the likes of Jason Brown and Nick Marsh (On3, Rivals predictions).

If Michigan State can beat out some big programs for Denson, that would be a huge momentum swing in favor of Tucker and the Spartans. Recruiting has already been trending in the right direction over the past few weeks but there’s a chance it could pick up yet again, especially if Denson picks Michigan State on July 1.

Michigan State football’s defensive back class is looking special

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Michigan State’s defensive back class is looking special so far. This group can help get the ‘No Fly Zone’ back sooner rather than later.

Tucker and Harlon Barnett have landed three-star safety Reggie Powers, three-star cornerback Camren Campbell, and four-star cornerback Jaylen Thompson. Adding Denson to that group is only going to make this group even more special.

What could make it even better would be re-landing four-star cornerback Jamari Howard who decommitted in May.

This is a talented group.
